These terms are an agreement between you (or the company you represent, "Client") and AQLO LABS LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company ("AQLO LABS", "we", "us"). By using aqlolabs.com or paying for a package you accept them. If we sign a separate written agreement or statement of work with you, that document controls where it differs from these terms.
1. Services and scope
Each package includes what its description on our pricing section said at the time you paid: the number of pages or screens, the number of revision rounds, the listed features, and the estimated timeline. Anything outside that description, including new features, extra pages or screens, and additional revision rounds, is a change request that we will quote separately before doing the work.
2. Timelines
Timelines are stated in business days (Monday to Friday, excluding US federal holidays) and start once we have held a kickoff with you and received the content, assets, and access we need. They are good-faith estimates, not guarantees. If you take longer than five business days to send materials or feedback, the timeline moves by the same amount. If we hear nothing from you for 30 consecutive days, we may pause the project; paused projects resume when you respond.
3. Payment and taxes
Fixed-price packages are paid in full, in US dollars, before work starts. Online payments are processed by Stripe. Sales tax is not currently added to package prices; if we start collecting it, it will be shown at checkout before you pay. Custom-quote work (such as CRM and AI projects) is billed as set out in its written quote. Payments are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy.
4. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information, content, and timely feedback
- Make sure you have the rights to everything you give us to use (text, images, logos, data)
- Review and approve deliverables; approval, or 10 business days without feedback after delivery, counts as acceptance
- Keep your own accounts (domain, hosting, app store, third-party services) in good standing
5. Third-party costs
Package prices cover our work only. Domain names, hosting, paid plugins or APIs, stock assets, and app store developer accounts (for example Apple's annual developer fee) are billed by those providers and paid by you, unless a package explicitly includes them.
6. Ownership
When you have paid in full, you own the custom code, designs, and content we create specifically for your project, and we deliver the full source code. We keep ownership of our pre-existing tools, libraries, and know-how, and give you a permanent, royalty-free license to use any of them that are built into your deliverables. Open-source components remain under their own licenses. Unless you ask us not to in writing, we may show the finished work in our portfolio.
7. Confidentiality
We keep your non-public business information confidential and use it only to deliver your project. You agree to do the same with any non-public information about our methods and tools.
8. Post-launch support and warranty
Packages that list post-launch support (for example 14 days for Web Development Standard and 30 days for Mobile App Advanced) include fixes for defects in our work reported during that period. We will perform all work in a professional manner. Except for these commitments, deliverables and this site are provided "as is", without other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee specific search rankings, app store approval, traffic, or business results.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to a project or these terms is limited to the amount you paid us for that project, and neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages such as lost profits or lost data.
10. Ending a project
Either party may end a project in writing if the other materially breaches these terms and does not fix the breach within 15 days of notice. If we cannot provide the service you paid for, we refund you in full as described in our Refund Policy. If a project ends for any other reason, work already paid for is not refunded, and you receive the work completed to date.
11. Using this site
Do not misuse the site: no attempts to break its security, overload it, scrape it at scale, or submit spam through the contact form. Blog posts are general information, not professional advice. Links to other sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.
13. Jobsite Radar subscription
Jobsite Radar is a subscription to email lists of new City of Chicago building permits: the last 7 days of permits when you subscribe, then each new day's permits every weekday. It is billed monthly at the price shown when you subscribe (currently $199 per month). These points apply to it in addition to the rest of these terms.
- Automatic renewal. Your subscription starts when you pay and renews automatically every month, charged to the payment method you used, until you cancel.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from the "Manage or cancel your subscription" link in any list email, or by emailing info@aqlolabs.com. You will not be billed for the next month, and you keep receiving the list until the end of the month you have already paid for.
- Where the data comes from. The list is built from public records published by the City of Chicago, including building permits and the City's licensed contractor registry. AQLO LABS is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the City of Chicago, and we cannot guarantee that the City's records are complete, accurate, or up to date.
- No guaranteed results. A permit is a sign of upcoming work, not an order. We do not guarantee that any lead will need a dumpster, answer your call, or turn into a job. The list is not exclusive: every subscriber receives the same list.
- Using the list. The list is for your own business's use. Do not resell or republish it. You are responsible for following the laws that apply when you contact contractors, including rules on calls, texts, and emails.
14. Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page. The version in effect when you paid for a package applies to that package.
